Shifting Style Artwork — a deeply personal project born from resilience, experimentation, and an unwavering dedication to creativity.

Originally working in oil on canvas and watercolour, Julie’s practice took a transformative turn following her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis in 2005. With reduced dexterity in her dominant hand, she could no longer rely on traditional techniques — and yet, what seemed like a limitation became a space for innovation.

Through Shifting Style Artwork, Julie explores alternative materials, gestures, and modes of expression. Her work is not only a visual journey but a testimony to reinvention — a new language formed by necessity, shaped by strength.
